Awards
Reward inventors automatically, from first idea to issued patent
If your company pays bonus awards for disclosures and patents, AppColl® calculates the award amounts automatically and, once they're approved, sends them to your payroll department for processing.
Awards can be triggered at any point in the patent lifecycle. Inventors can see the awards they've received from their own login, which keeps the ideas coming.

How an award gets paid
1
A milestone is reached
A disclosure is submitted or accepted, a patent application is filed, or a patent issues.
2
AppColl calculates it
Your payout rules work out each inventor's share, including minimums, maximums and any lead inventor bonus.
3
Approve or notify
Notify inventors right away, or require pre-approval before an award is released.
4
Send to payroll
Approved awards are passed to your payroll department for processing.

Submission awards
Recognize inventors as soon as an idea is submitted, or once the committee accepts it.
Filing awards
Pay out when a patent application is filed on the inventor's disclosure.
Issuance awards
Reward inventors again when the patent issues.
Pre-approval
Hold awards for review before they're released to inventors and payroll.
More award tools
Shared award pools
Split a total pool of money across all of the inventors named on a disclosure.
Minimum and maximum payouts
Make sure every inventor receives at least a set amount, and cap what any one inventor can earn.
Award tracking
Awards are set up and tracked in Invention Manager, so you always know what each inventor has been paid.
Tied to your approval flow
Award triggers follow your disclosure approval flow, from submission through the committee's decision.
